Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Birmingham Moor Street and Leamington Spa all lines are currently closed. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

The police are also dealing with an incident near the railway between Birmingham Snow Hill and Dorridge adding to the line blocks.

Disruption is expected until 11:30.

To assist you with your journey you ticket will be accepted on:

  • Avanti West Coast services operating between Birmingham New Street, Milton Keynes Central and London Euston stations.
  • Cross Country services operating between Birmingham New Street, Leamington Spa, Banbury, Oxford
  • Great Western Railway services operating between Banbury, Oxford, Reading and London Paddington stations.

West Midlands Railway

Options when travelling to Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa stations:

If you're travelling between Stratford-upon-Avon (and Stratford Parkway) and Birmingham, you can use the West Midlands Railway services which travel on an alternative route via Whitlocks End.

You can travel between Birmingham New Street to Leamington Spa with CrossCountry

You can travel on London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway services between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International, as well as between Birmingham Moor Street and Shirley to connect with local bus services to stations on this route.

London Northwestern Railway have arranged for your rail tickets to be valid on the transport routes below:

  • Chiltern Railway between Birmingham Moor Street / Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa
  • West Midlands Railway between Birmingham Moor Street and Shirley to connect with local bus services to Solihull: and between Birmingham New Street and Marston Green Birmingham International, to connect with local bus services to stations on this route
  • CrossCountry between Birmingham New Street and Leamington Spa
  • London Northwestern Railway between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International, to connect with local bus services to stations on this route
  • National Express West Midlands Buses via any reasonable route
