This is expected until 11:30.

What has happened?

There is a fault with the signalling system at Swinderby between Lincoln and Newark disrupting our trains on the Leicester / Nottingham / Lincoln / Grimsby route.

Network Rail are investigating the problem. Trains have to run at reduced speed, or may have to wait a few minutes whilst repairs are carried out.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running through the area in the Newark direction will be delayed by up to 20 minutes between Lincoln and Newark

Trains running through the area in the Lincoln direction will run normally between Newark and Lincoln.

Lincoln bound trains on this route are not affected by this problem and will run normally, this is because the fault is on the Newark direction line only

At present EMR are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next hour. As soon as the problem is fixed the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. The advertised timetable is expected to resume on the affected routes by 11:30.
