A freight train heading towards Felixstowe South terminal has come to a stand near Derby Road with engine problems.
The freight train requires assistance and a rescue loco has been identified and is on route to assist.
As a result we are unable to run train services on the branch line until the freight train is clear of the line.
Greater Anglia tickets will be accepted on local buses (First Buses route 75) between Ipswich and Felixstowe until further notice.
Rail Replacement buses have been sourced from Felixstowe Travel to operate between Ipswich and Felixstowe. The buses are due to arrive at Felixstowe at 08:45 and at Ipswich at 09:30.
