A shortage of train crew between Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere means that trains are unable to run between these stations.

As a result, trains have been cancelled.

This is expected until the end of the day.

Customers may use their ticket on the Avanti West Coast 18:41 service from Preston to Oxenholme, and on the TransPennine Express 19:05 service from Preston to Oxenholme.

Oxenholme to Windermere

• 1 x full sized bus will depart Oxenholme at 19:22, calling at Kendal and Windermere.
• 1 x 16-seater minibus will depart Oxenholme at 19:22, calling at Kendal, Burneside, Staveley and Windermere.
• 1 x full sized bus will depart Oxenholme at 20:18, calling at Kendal and Windermere.
• 1 x 16-seater minibus will depart Oxenholme at 20:18, calling at Kendal, Burneside, Staveley and Windermere.
• 1 x full sized bus will depart Oxenholme at 21:47, calling at Kendal and Windermere.
• 1 x 16-seater minibus will depart Oxenholme at 21:47, calling at Kendal, Burneside, Staveley and Windermere.
• 1 x full sized bus will depart Oxenholme at 22:22, calling at Kendal and Windermere
• 1 x 16-seater minibus will depart Oxenholme at 22:22, calling at Kendal, Burneside, Staveley and Windermere.

Windermere to Oxenholme / Preston

• 1 x full sized bus will depart Windermere at 19:48, calling at Kendal and Oxenholme.
• 1 x 16 seater minibus will depart Windermere at 19:48, calling at Staveley, Burneside, Kendal and Oxenholme.
• 1 x full sized bus will depart Windermere at 20:42, calling at Kendal and Oxenholme.
• 1 x 16 seater minibus will depart Windermere at 20:42, calling at Staveley, Burneside, Kendal and Oxenholme.
• 1 x full sized bus will depart Windermere at 21:47, calling at Kendal and Oxenholme.
• 1 x 16 seater minibus will depart Windermere at 21:47, calling at Staveley, Burneside, Kendal and Oxenholme.
• 1 x full sized bus will depart Windermere at 22:47, calling at Kendal, Oxenholme, Lancaster and Preston.
• 1 x 16 seater minibus will depart Windermere at 22:47, calling at Staveley, Burneside, Kendal, Oxenholme, Lancaster and Preston.

Journey times will be extended by up to 45 minutes when travelling using rail replacement transport.
