Salford Crescent station will be closed on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March as Network Rail continues the upgrade of Salford Crescent with the addition of a new third platform.

As a result, buses will replace trains between Manchester Victoria / Manchester Piccadilly and Bolton for the duration of the works, calling at Salford Crescent.

Some services between Manchester Victoria / Manchester Piccadilly and Wigan Wallgate / Preston will be diverted.
