Engineering work is taking place between Macclesfield / Heald Green and Stockport, closing all lines.
CrossCountry
From 22:35 on Saturday and all day Sunday, trains will be diverted via Heald Green, and will be unable to call at Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield and Stockport.
Buses will be provided to run between Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield and Stockport.
East Midlands Railway
All day Sunday, trains will divert between Edale and Manchester Piccadilly, to run via Romiley. These trains will be unable to call at Stockport. Please allow for an extended journey time of up to 20 minutes.
If you are travelling to / from Stockport, buses will be provided between Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly.
Northern
From 22:35 on Saturday, buses will replace trains between Wilmslow / Macclesfield / Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester Piccadilly. Some trains will also be diverted via Heald Green.
On Sunday, trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe will run via Heald Green. Other trains will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.
Buses will be provided between Stockport and Wilmslow. Buses will also be provided to run directly between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent.
As a result of the engineering work, a reduced service will run between Manchester Airport and Manchester Oxford Road.
Buxton services will also be amended. Buses will replace trains between Stockport and Hazel Grove.
Virgin Trains
On Sunday, trains will be diverted to run via Crewe and Heald Green, and will be unable to call at Macclesfield and Stockport. Buses will be provided to run between Wilmslow and Macclesfield.
TransPennine Express and TfW
It is not yet known how TransPennine Express and TfW services will be affected.
