Work on the signalling equipment is taking place between Mirfield and Leeds, closing all lines between these stations each night from 23:50 on Monday 7 October until 05:45 on Friday 11 October.

As a result, the following changes will apply:

Monday - Thursday:

  • 22:15 Blackpool North - Leeds service will be be diverted via an alternative route between Hebden Bridge and Leeds, arriving later than usual at Leeds at 00:27.
  • 23:19 Manchester Airport - York service will divert via Wakefield Kirkgate and will not call at Dewsbury. In addition, this will result in a later departure than normal at Leeds at 01:24. A replacement bus service will run from Huddersfield to Dewsbury, departing at 00:43 from Tuesday to Friday.
  • 23:53 Leeds - Huddersfield service will be cancelled and replaced by coaches throughout.
  • 23:56 Huddersfield - Leeds service will be cancelled and replaced by coaches throughout.

Tuesday - Friday:

  • 01:38 York - Manchester Airport service will divert via Wakefield Kirkgate and will depart Huddersfield later than normal.
  • 02:47 York - Manchester Airport service will divert via Wakefield Kirkgate. Consequently, this train will depart a few minutes earlier than usual at Leeds and Huddersfield.
  • 02:42 Manchester Piccadilly - York service will divert via Wakefield Kirkgate, departing at Leeds later than usual at 04:31
  • 05:19 Leeds - Wigan Wallgate service will be diverted via Wakefield Kirkgate and will not call at Cottingley, Morley, Batley, Dewsbury and Ravensthorpe. A bus will be provided from Leeds to Brighouse, departing Leeds at 04:35 to connect with the train at Brighouse. A second bus will be provided from Leeds to Brighouse departing Leeds at 05:35.
