Engineering work is taking place between Crewe and Preston, closing all lines late on Saturday evening.
As a result, the 20:30 London Euston to Preston service will be diverted after Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly, where the train will terminate.
Replacement buses will run between Crewe and Warrington Bank Quay / Wigan North Western /Â Preston.
