Temporary Reduction of West Riding Services

Following the recent Government decision to place Doncaster and South Yorkshire into the COVID tier-three risk level, we have taken the decision to reduce our West Riding route services from Monday October 26th for 28 days, to reflect expected passenger demand.

Passengers booked onto cancelled Grand Central (GC) services will be offered travel on an alternative GC service or to switch their booking to an alternative date at no extra cost.

If you are booked on one of the cancelled services, please contact GC’s customer service team on 0345 603 4852 (Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm). Our North East service between Kings Cross and Sunderland remains unaffected by these changes.

The cancelled West Riding services are:

Monday to Friday:

  • 07:56 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross

Alternative proposed service is the 06:55 or 10:22 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross

  • 14:48 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

Alternative proposed service is the 16:27 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

Saturday 31st October and Saturday 7th November:

  • 08:44 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross

Alternative proposed service is the 06:55 or 10:22 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross

  • 15:22 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross

Alternative proposed service is the 10:22 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross

  • 15:48 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

Alternative proposed service is the 16:27 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

  • 19:57 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

A full Sunday timetable on the West Riding route will run throughout the affected period, but passengers are advised to check before travelling, as some weekends may also be affected by unrelated network engineering programmes

A full West Riding service is currently expected to resume on Monday 23rd November, though we will monitor developments closely and this date may change depending on Government advice.
