All lines have reopened following the emergency services are dealing with an incident between Huyton and Earlestown.
Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Victoria may still be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 12:30.
Alternative travel advice for Northern customers:
Replacement road transport has been requested to run between Huyton and stations to Newton-le-Willows in both directions.
Alternative travel advice for TransPennine Express customers:
You may use your ticket on East Midlands Trains and Northern via any reasonable route.
Replacement road transport will run between Lea Green and Newton-le-Willows to provide connections for other services. It will run as follows:
- 1 x Jones Coaches ETA 09:15 at Manchester Victoria.
- 1 x Ashley Travel ETA 09:30 at Liverpool Lime street.
- 1 x Justin McLuckie ETA 09:15 at Manchester Victoria.
- 1 x The Big Coach company ETA 09:15 at Liverpool
- 8 x road taxis have been requested for Earlstown where one Transpennine Express service has been terminated.
