Engineering work is taking place between Saxmundham and Lowestoft, closing all lines.

Buses will replace trains between Saxmundham / Beccles and Lowestoft, calling at all booked stations.

Project Information:

Network Rail are replacing the old mechanical signalling equipment with modern technology using colour LED signals. They are also replacing manually operated switches with powered switches controlled by a remote computer based signalling system.

Track layout at several locations will also be improved to cater for increasing capacity and reliability demands of a modern railway.
