Engineering work is taking place between Motherwell and Glasgow, in the Carlisle area, and also in the Carstairs area, closing some lines.
Caledonian Sleeper:
From Friday evening onwards, Caledonian Sleeper services will be diverted via Doncaster and Newcastle, and will be retimed. Services will not call at Watford Junction, Crewe, Preston and Carlisle. Some services will not call at Carstairs.
CrossCountry:
On Saturday, CrossCountry services will be diverted, and will not call at Motherwell. Customers should use alternative services to / from Motherwell.
On Sunday, CrossCountry services will not run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. Replacement buses will operate between these stations, calling at all booked stations.
ScotRail:
Services between Ayr / Glasgow Central and Edinburgh / North Berwick will not run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh (via Carstairs). Replacement buses will run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh via Carstairs, calling at all stations.
The 10:20 Edinburgh to Glasgow Central and the 23:13 Edinburgh to Motherwell will be diverted via Shotts, and will not call at Carstairs, Carluke or Wishaw. Replacement buses will run between Edinburgh and Glasgow, calling at all booked stations.
TransPennine Express:
On Saturday and Sunday, TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh will operate between Manchester Airport and Oxenholme only.
Replacement buses will run between Oxenholme and Carlisle, and also between Carlisle and Edinburgh. Please note that buses will not call at Haymarket - customers from this station should travel via Edinburgh.
Customers should use Virgin Trains replacement buses between between Carlisle and Glasgow Central.
Virgin Trains:
On Saturday, an amended hourly service will run between London Euston and Oxenholme Lake District, and also between Carlisle and Glasgow Central. Replacement buses will run between Oxenholme and Carlisle. Please note that there will be no service to Edinburgh, customers should use alternative services.
On Sunday, services between London Euston and Glasgow / Edinburgh will run between London Euston and Crewe only.
Replacement buses will run between Crewe and Glasgow Central. Customers travelling direct between Crewe and Glasgow Central will have to change buses to complete your journey.
Customers travelling to / from Edinburgh should us TransPennine Express buses between Carlisle and Edinburgh.
Virgin Trains East Coast:
Services between London Kings Cross and Glasgow Central will terminate at Edinburgh. Replacement buses will run between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central.
