Engineering work is taking place between Newcastle and Edinburgh, closing all lines via Alnmouth.

The following alterations will apply all day on Saturday and until 09:00 on Sunday.

CrossCountry

Rail replacement buses will be provided between Newcastle, Alnmouth, Berwick, Dunbar and Edinburgh. Please note, advance purchase and 'XC only' tickets will not be valid on diverted LNER trains via Carlisle.

LNER

A reduced hourly service will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh via Carlisle. Please allow for an extended journey time of up to 90 minutes.

A half-hourly service will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle.

Rail replacement buses will be provided between Newcastle, Alnmouth, Berwick, Dunbar and Edinburgh.

Bicycles:
