Engineering work is taking place between Chesterfield and Sheffield, closing some lines and also between Sheffield and Stockport, closing all lines.

CrossCountry:

Services between Southampton Central / Reading and Newcastle will be revised to start / terminate at Derby.

Northbound trains to Scotland will be diverted, extending journey times by approximately 10 minutes.

East Midlands Trains:

Train services between Norwich / Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street will be revised to start / terminate at Sheffield.

Trains departing Chesterfield towards Sheffield will be diverted, arriving later into Sheffield.

Replacement road transport will operate between Chesterfield and Stockport in both directions to connect with services to Nottingham / Norwich.

Replacement road transport will also operate between Sheffield and Stockport in both directions.

Please Note: On Sunday 3 March, engineering work is also taking place between Peterborough and Ely. Buses will replace trains between Peterborough and Norwich all day.

Northern and TransPennine Express:

It is not yet known how Northern and TransPennine Express services will be affected by these engineering works.
