Engineering work is taking place on Friday night between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh, closing all lines.
CrossCountry:
On Friday, the 15:45 Reading to Edinburgh service will terminate at Newcastle. A connecting rail service will operate from Newcastle to Edinburgh.
On Saturday, replacement buses will run between Berwick-upon-Tweed and Edinburgh.
London North Eastern Railway:
Services between Newcastle and Edinburgh will run hourly via a diversion, extending journey times by up to 90 minutes. An amended train service of 2 trains per hour will run between London Kings Cross and Newcastle.
Replacement buses will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh via Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Dunbar.
