Storm Ãowyn is expected to bring very strong winds, rain and snow to most parts of Great Britain on Friday 24 January which will affect South Western Railway services across their network.
The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for this day. Please check your journey in full before travelling.
What South Western Railway Are Doing About It
Disruption is expected between Basingstoke and Exeter St Davids, and between Basingstoke and Weymouth, on the morning of Friday 24 January, due to high wind speeds.
For the safety of customers and colleagues, a speed restriction of 50 mph will be in place between 04:00 and 09:00 from Totton to Weymouth.
Train services between Southampton Central and Weymouth, and between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier, will be revised.
If you intend to travel on routes west of Basingstoke tomorrow, please allow extra time to complete your journey and check before you travel.
