Storm Ãowyn is expected to bring very strong winds and rain to most parts of Great Britain today, Friday 24 January. The Met office have issued an amber and yellow weather warning which may disrupt routes on East Midlands Railway network.
East Midlands Railway are planning to run a full advertised service however you are advised to check before you travel.

Stockport - Sheffield
Due to a tree blocking the railway at Hazel Grove all lines are currently closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised to start / terminate at Sheffield.
Disruption is expected until 10:30.
Warrington Central - Manchester Oxford Road
Due to a tree blocking the railway at Birchwood some lines are currently closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 09:00.
