Due to availability of train crew fewer Thameslink trains are able to run across the network. As a result, trains may be cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer Advice:
Short-notice issues with the availability of train crew are disrupting some Thameslink services.
Until the end of service, some trains will be cancelled or revised to only complete parts of their normal journeys. This will particularly affect the following routes:
- Trains between Brighton / Three Bridges and Bedford
- Trains between Sutton and St Albans City, both via Wimbledon and via Mitcham Junction
- Trains between Rainham / Gillingham and Kentish Town / West Hampstead Thameslink / Luton
This means you may need to leave 30-60 minutes of extra time for some journeys. If there is a long wait until the next train, you may wish to consider using another route.
Your ticket will be accepted on the following alternative public transport services at no extra cost:
South of London:
- South Western Railway services between Wimbledon and London Waterloo (some of their services may also be disrupted by issues on the route via Clandon)
- Southeastern services between Herne Hill and London Victoria, and between Rainham, Gillingham, Gravesend, Dartford and the London area (except High Speed services between Gravesend and London St Pancras International)
- Southern services on any reasonable route, including trains between Sutton and the London area, and between the South Coast and London
Across Central London:
- London Underground services on any reasonable route
- London Buses serving stations between Sutton or Wimbledon, Central London and the Elstree & Borehamwood area
North of London:
- East Midlands Railway services between London St Pancras International, Luton Airport Parkway, Luton and Bedford
- London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston, Watford Junction, Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central; between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey (which is around 20 minutes' walk from St Albans City; and between Bletchley and Bedford
- London Overground services via West Hampstead
