Urgent repairs to the track at Norwood Junction means some lines will be disrupted. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised. This is expected until 16:00.
London Overground Customer Advice:
Tickets will be accepted on Local Buses via any reasonable route.
Southern / Thameslink Customer Advice:
Between 14:00 and 15:30, Network Rail will be closing one of the southbound lines (towards East Croydon / West Croydon) in the Norwood Junction area.
As a result, some Southern services that run between London Bridge and Epsom (in both directions) will be cancelled.
Some Thameslink services that run from London Blackfriars / London Bridge towards East Croydon may be diverted, which means they won't stop at London Bridge.
Other Southern and Thameslink services that run through the area may be diverted via other routes or lines, and so will experience delays, or will be subject to short notice alterations/cancellations.
Please allow extra time for your journey today. If your planned train is cancelled then you may need to take a different train or change trains en route in order to complete your journey.
Tickets will be accepted for no extra cost on Southern and Thameslink services via any reasonable route.
You can check if your journey will be affected using a live route map here.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Due to a possible track defect, Network Rail have advised us that they intend to take a line block on one of the southbound lines in the Norwood Junction area. This is to allow them to inspect the area and we expect it to be carried out between 14:00 and 15:30.
