The footbridge at Biggleswade station has been closed for safety reasons. As a result, trains running towards London will be unable to call at this station.
This is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
Trains which run from Huntingdon towards London Kings Cross will not call at Biggleswade until further notice.
If you are travelling to or from this station, you can still complete your journey by train but you will need to travel using an alternative route. This will extend your travel time by up to 30 minutes longer than usual.
Trains in the opposite direction - from London towards Huntingdon - are not affected, and will continue to call as scheduled.
If you are travelling from Biggleswade towards Stevenage or London:
You can instead travel to Sandy on a train towards Huntingdon, then change at Sandy for a return service towards your destination.
If you are travelling to Biggleswade on a train from Huntingdon:
You can instead travel on to Arlesey station, where you can change for trains towards Huntingdon which will call at Biggleswade as scheduled.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
We've received reports of a safety issue with the footbridge which links the London-bound platforms to the rest of the station.
With the footbridge out of use, these platforms are inaccessible. As such, no trains will call at Biggleswade in a London Bound direction. The platforms for trains towards Huntingdon / Peterborough are not affected, and these trains will continue to call as usual.
