A shortage for Great Northern an Thameslink train crew, means that fewer trains are able to run across their network. Trains may be amended, cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until 03:00 Sunday 22 December.
Customer advice
Engineering work and train crew availability this weekend means that services are altered across the Great Northern and Thameslink network today.
Some last trains will run earlier than usual, or will have a replacement bus service running in place of a train.
Please check your journey before you travel today, and travel earlier if you can. If your planned journey is affected then you may need to take a different train than planned, use an alternative route, or take a replacement bus.
Please note that rail replacement bus capacity is limited and queuing systems will be in place.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
Great Northern and Thameslink know these cancellations and service changes are inconvenient, and they are doing everything they can to run as many trains as possible. Unfortunately, they got a shortage of train drivers today, and this means some trains will be cancelled, so they are letting you know as soon as possible and putting alternative arrangements in place, wherever they can.

Compensation:
