Very strong winds of up to 80 mph associated with Storm Otto may disrupt travel today, Friday 17 February on many parts of the ScotRail network. The Met Office have issued yellow weather warnings for this morning and into this afternoon.

Speed restrictions are in place on the following routes to ensure you can travel safely. As a result, your train journey through the affected areas may be subject to delays, alterations or delays:

  • Edinburgh - Helensburgh Central / Dundee / Aberdeen / Tweedbandk / North Berwick / Perth
  • Dalmuir - Cumberland / Motherwell
  • Glasgow Central - Ardrossan Harbour / Largs / Wemyss Bay / Lanark
  • Glasgow Central - Carlisle
  • Glasgow Queen Street - Mallaig / Oban
  • Inverness - Aberdeen / Kyle of Lochalsh / Wick
  • Montrose / Aberdeen - Inverurie
  • Dundee - Arbroath
