Engineering work is taking place between Coseley and Penkridge and also between Acton Bridge and Edge Hill, closing various lines.

Avanti West Coast

It is not yet confirmed how Avanti West Coast will be affected by this engineering work.

CrossCountry

  • Trains will divert and will not call at Wolverhampton. A rail replacement bus service will operate between Wolverhampton and Stafford. 
London Northwestern Railway

  • Train services between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will not run. Passengers are advised to travel on other operators services between Birmingham New Street and Stafford / Crewe. Customers please note that these trains are also affected by engineering work in the Liverpool area.
  • Local stopping trains between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton will run between Birmingham New Street and Tipton only.
  • Rail replacement buses will operate between Birmingham New Street / Tipton & Wolverhampton.
  • Trains between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street will run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street only and will operate to a special timetable between London Euston and Northampton.
  • Rail replacement buses will operate Wolverhampton and Stafford (via Penkridge), between Crewe and Runcorn and between Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway. Passengers are advised to travel on Merseyrail train services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Central.

 

Sunday only

  • Trains between Coventry and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent will only run between Coventry and Birmingham New Street and between Stafford and Crewe.
  • Train services between Coventry and Crewe (via Stoke-on-Trent & Birmingham New Street) will run between Satfford and Crewe (to an amended timetable) and between Coventry and Birmingham New Street.
  • Local stopping train services between Walsall / Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton will run between Walsall / Birmingham New Street and Tipton only. Rail replacement buses will operate between Tipton and Wolverhampton.
  • Train services between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury will run between Billbrook and Shrewsbury only (to an amended timetable). Rail replacement buses will operate between Wolverhampton / Tipton and Telford Central. Passengers are advised to travel on other services between Wolverhampton / Tipton and Birmingham New Street.
Transport for Wales

  • Buses will replace trains between Birmingham International and Shrewsbury.

West Midlands Trains

  • Local stopping train services between Walsall / Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton will run between Walsall / Birmingham New Street and Tipton only. A  replacement bus service will operate between Tipton and Wolverhampton.
