A road vehicle has colllided with a railway bridge at Canterbury East. As a result, trains are currently suspended between Faversham and Dover Priory.

We anticpate that disruption will continue until 18:00.

What's happened?

A lorry has struck the bridge at Canterbury East, as such trains between Dover Priory and Faversham are unable to run at present. Response staff are on route to examine the bridge.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains are unable to run between Faversham and Dover Priory in both directions.

What do I need to do?

  • If you are travelling from Canterbury East and require Dover, you may wish to travel from Canterbury West to Ashford International / Ramsgate and change there.
  • If you are travelling from Canterbury East and require Faversham, you may wish to travel from Canterbury West to Ramsgate and change there for services via Faversham.
