Engineering work is taking place between Carlisle and Carstairs, closing all lines from 11:30 on Saturday until early on Monday morning.

Avanti West Coast:

Saturday and Sunday:

From 11:30 on Saturday and all day on Sunday, trains will start from / terminate at Carlisle instead of Glasgow Central / Edinburgh.

A very limited number of trains will run between Carlisle and Glasgow Central via Dumfries (not calling).

Replacement buses will run between Carlisle and Glasgow Central. Customers to / from Edinburgh should use TransPennine Express services.

Monday:

The 04:28 Glasgow Central to London Euston service will start from Preston at 06:57.

The 08:00 Glasgow Central to London Euston service will terminate at Wolverhampton.

TransPennine Express:

It is not yet known how TransPennine Express will be affected by this engineering work.
