Following a fault on a train earlier at St Albans City all lines towards Bedford have now reopened. Train services running through this station may be delayed by up to 10 minutes. Disruption is expected until 09:00.

Earlier today, a train developed a fault at St Albans City, blocking the 'fast' line towards Bedford. Because of this, trains had to use the alternative line through the area - the 'slow' or stopping line - leading to trains calling at different platforms than usual.
Network Rail engineers worked with the driver of the train to rectify the fault, and the train is now on the move. All lines have been reopened, although some trains running through the area may be subject to minor delays.
