The line towards London St Pancras International has now reopened following a fault on a train at Farringdon.
Journeys between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International are now on the move, however, may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised as service recovers.
We anticipate this to continue until 08:30.
Customer advice:
Services from London Blackfriars towards Farringdon and London St Pancras International are being delayed due to an earlier fault on a train.
The line has now reopened and services are on the move. Delays of up to 30 minutes are possible and services may be subject to service alterations and cancellations as a result. This means that services may start or terminate at a different station to normal, or will have cancelled stops.

Can you tell me more about the incident?
When a train fault occurs, the driver will contact train technicians and will be guided through a 10 minute repair process. If they are unable to fix the fault, the train will be terminated and taken out of passenger service and returned to the depot for full safety investigation and repairs. This is likely to have an immediate knock on effect, particularly in busy locations across the network, as well as on later services in the day.
In this instance, a train experienced issues raising its pantographs (the equipment used to draw power from the overhead electric wires) at City Thameslink this morning. Multiple attempts were made to raise the pantographs which were unsuccessful, and the train then carried on forward to Farringdon to make further attempts to do this. Unfortunately, the train was unable to raise the pantographs and as such would have been unable to travel forward north of London St Pancras International as it would have been unable to draw power. The decision was made to terminate the train at Farringdon and run it empty to the depot.
The northbound line was blocked for about 25 minutes during this time, which has resulted in delays to northbound services.
