Following an earlier fault on a train between Brighton and Lewes, the line towards Lewes has now reopened.
Trains which would run between Brighton and Seaford may still be disrupted. If you are travelling between these stations, your journey will take up to 20 minutes longer than usual, and you may need to use an alternative route to reach your destination.
 You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:
- Southern services on any reasonable route to your destination
- Brighton & Hove buses between Brighton, Lewes, and Eastbourne, incuding via Seaford
Please note that using these alternatives will extend your travel time by up to 40 minutes, so please check journey planners and station information boards, and allow extra time to reach your destination.

A train has developed a fault on approach to Falmer station, between Brighton and Lewes. It's unable to move forward and is currently blocking the line. The driver is in contact with specialist Network Rail engineers, who are working to resolve the fault as soon as possible.
