Lines have reopened following a passenger causing a disturbance on a train between Barnham and Havant. As service recovers, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 20:00.

Passengers have been causing a disturbance on a train at Chichester. As a result, services are disrupted in the direction of Havant.
The line from Chichester towards Havant is now open, but the disruption is causing delays and changes to trains in both directions through the area.
Train services that are affected are:
- Brighton to Southampton Central. These will now terminate/start at either Littlehampton or Barnham
- Portsmouth & Southsea to Littlehampton will now start/terminate at Bognor Regis
Some services will not call at Chichester in the direction of Havant until further notice.
Trains will be held on the approach to the area, terminated before they get to this part of the network, or cancelled.
Your journey is likely to be delayed by at least 30 minutes. You will need to change trains during your journey, or use an alternative option covered with our ticket acceptance.

At the moment, Southern are working with the emergency services, local staff and colleagues at Network Rail to deal with this. A group of disruptive passengers has are causing disruption at Chichester. Southern are awaiting police to arrive on site.
