All lines have now reopened following an object being caught on the overhead electric wires between Cheshunt and Broxbourne. Trains running between Cheshunt and Hertford East/ Bishops Stortford may continue to be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 18:15.
Customer advice
After a balloon was wrapped around the overhead electrical wires, it has now been removed by Network Rail engineers. Trains can now run normally on the route from Cheshunt towards Broxbourne. Some disruption is still expected as Greater Anglia / Stansted Express recover to their advertised timetable.
