Lines have now reopened following a trespass incident between Sheffield and Chesterfield. While service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. This is expected until 23:00.

TTrains running through the area from Derby towards Chesterfield / Sheffield on our London St Pancras / Sheffield route in both directions can now begin to run. Trains running though the area from Chesterfield towards Nottingham on our Liverpool Lime Street / Nottingham / Norwich route in both directions can now begin to run.
Sheffield
You may travel to Doncaster where you should change for a train to London Kings Cross. It is likely to take between 2 and 2 and a half hours to complete this journey. LNER, who run the trains between Doncaster and London Kings Cross recommend booking a seat reservation. This can be done up to 5 minutes before the train departs here

Nottingham
You can travel between Derby and Nottingham in both directions with CrossCountry where you can connect with East Midlands Railway services towards London St Pancras International. Derby / Chesterfield
You may travel to Birmingham New Street with London North Western Railway where you should change for trains towards London Euston. Leicester
You may travel to Nuneaton where you should change for a train to London Euston. It is likely to take 2 hours to complete this journey.
