Lines have now reopened following a tree blocking the railway between Charlton and Slade Green.

As service recovers, trains may still be delayed or revised.

We anticipate disruption will continue until 13:30.

What's happened?

A tree had fallen and blocked the line from London towards Slade Green near Charlton. The tree has been moved and the line is now open.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains from London towards Slade Green via Woolwich were being delayed and some have diverted to run via alternative routes.  

London bound services were not affected and are running.

What do I need to do?

Please allow extra time for your journey between Deptford, Charlton and Slade Green and check your journey using the journey planner.

The line between Dartford and London Bridge has now reopened, and trains can now run through the Charlton area as normal.

Staff are working to return to the scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before travelling, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
