Industrial action is taking place on several dates in December 2022 and January 2023, affecting Caledonian Sleeper services. 48 hour strikes will take place on the dates below. Even though Caledonian Sleeper staff are not participating in the strike action, it will have a significant impact on their service:
- Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 December 2022
- Friday 16 and Saturday 17 December 2022
- Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 January 2023
- Friday 6 and Saturday 7 January 2023
December 2022:
On Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14 and Friday 16 December, all Caledonian Sleeper services will be cancelled.
On Monday 12 and Thursday 15 December, trains will run but the following alterations will apply:
- London Euston to Aberdeen / Inverness / Fort William services will terminate at Edinburgh. Replacement buses will run from Edinburgh to Aberdeen / Inverness / Fort William
- London Euston to Glasgow Central / Edinburgh service will arrive at stations later than normal
- Fort William / Inverness / Aberdeen / Glasgow Central / Edinburgh to London Euston services will arrive into London later than normal

The National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner is not yet showing the strike day services for the national industrial action dates. Timetables are expected to be showing the correct strike day service levels by the following dates:
- For travel from 12 to 16 December, the Journey Planner will be correct on 10 December
- For travel on 17 and 18 December, the Journey Planner will be correct on 14 December
- For travel on 3, 4, 6 and 7 January, please check back here closer to the time of travel
