A gas leak near the railway at Exeter Central means trains running through the station may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

South Western Railway Customer Advice

We have been informed of a gas leak near Exeter Central station. This means that the lines through this station are blocked.

Until further notice the following alterations will be necessary:

Services between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will start/terminate at Honiton.

To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

  • Great Western Railway services between Exeter St Davids and London Paddington
  • Great Western Railway services between Basingstoke and Reading
  • London Underground via any reasonable route (for travel between London Waterloo and London Paddington)
  • Stagecoach South West 1 between Exeter - Pinhoe - Broadclyst (near Cranbrook)
  • Stagecoach South West 4 between Exeter St Davids and Cranbrook
  • Stagecoach South West 44 and 44A between Axminster - Honiton - Cranbrook – Exeter
  • Stagecoach South West P between Exeter and Pinhoe
