A train hitting an obstruction on the track between Derby and Matlock is causing disruption to services. Trains to / from Matlock may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 18:00.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in both direction cannot run between Ambergate and Matlock.
If you are travelling beyond Ambergate please use the next train from Derby, this will add 60 minutes onto your journey.
At present staff are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. East Midlands Railway expect their advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 18:00.
How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.
East Midlands Railway have made arrangements for you to use your tickets with another operator, you may use your tickets with CrossCountry between Derby and Nottingham.
