How does this affect my train?
There may be some congestion to trains in to and out of Derby station are there will be reduced platforms at Derby station.
East Midlands Railway have made some sort notice cancellations on the Newark Castle / Crewe route in both direction.
At present it is expected that the problem will be fixed in the next hour. As soon as the problem is fixed the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect advertised timetables to resume on the affected routes by 21:00.
How do I get where I need to be?
If you are travelling on the Newark Castle to Crewe route, we have made arrangements to help you get where you need to be.
You may use your tickets with West Midlands Railway between Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe in both directions.
You may use your tickets with CrossCountry between Nottingham and Derby in both directions.
East Midlands Railway have arranged buses at Derby station, the buses will be at the Pride Park side of the station to assist with any further service cancellations. If you are at an unmanned station and require assistance, please use the station help points.
