The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Wakefield Kirkgate and Leeds.

Trains between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 20:00.

Customer advice

Customers wanting to travel from Wakefield Kirkgate can travel on Knottingley services and change there for services towards Leeds. Furthermore, customers should be advised services may divert to Wakefield Westgage and towards Leeds, not calling at Castleford or Woodlesford.

This will not prevent Leeds - Knottingley services operating, however, the disruption may delay train crew which could result in delays and possible cancellation to train services between Leeds and Knottingley.
