The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Sunderland and Newcastle. To allow them to safely carry out their work, all lines are currently closed.
Trains running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 35 minutes or diverted.
This is expected until 21:30.

Services between Middlesbrough and Newcastle are currently unable to operate in both directions via Sunderland.
Where possible, services will be diverted via Darlington, but will fail to call at Stockton, Billingham, Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, Horden, Seaham, Sunderland and Heworth.
You may use your ticket on CrossCountry, LNER and TransPennine Express services between Darlington and Newcastle at no extra cost.
