There is a fault with the signalling system at Bulwell, between Nottingham and Mansfield, and it is disrupting trains on the Nottingham / Worksop route.
Network Rail engineers have now arrived on site and are carrying out fault finding.
Disruption is expected until 17:00.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in the Mansfield direction cannot run and some trains may be diverted between Nottingham and Mansfield, there is no delay expected.  Trains would not be able to stop at Hucknall, Bulwell or Newstead.
Trains running through the area in the Nottingham direction will run normally between Mansfield and Nottingham.  Please note, some trains may have to be cancelled at short notice.
At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 45 minutes. As soon as the problem is fixed the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. It is expected that the advertised timetable will resume on the affected routes by 17:00.
 How do I get where I need to be?
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.
East Midlands Railway are currently looking at alternative arrangements to keep you on the move. Please remember that this can take time and be assured that our team are working tirelessly to arrange this as quickly as possible for you. We appreciate your patience whilst we do this.
If you are travelling towards Hucknall, Bulwell or Newstead you should travel on diverted trains towards Mansfield changing there for a train back towards Nottingham.  This is expected to extend your journey time by approximately 45 minutes.
If you are travelling from Hucknall, Bulwell or Newstead towards stations to Mansfield and Worksop you should travel to Nottingham and change for connecting train back towards Mansfield.  This is expected to extend your journey time by approximately 60 minutes.
NET trams are currently in disruption and are unable to carry East Midlands Railway customers at this time.
