Following damage to the overhead electric wires between Leeds and Wakefield Westgate yesterday, further repairs are scheduled to take place overnight tonight.
Trains may be cancelled or revised to allow Network Rail access to the railway between these stations to carry out the repairs this evening.
Disruption is expected until 07:00 tomorrow, Wednesday 15 November.

No train services will be able to run between Leeds and Wakefield Westgate, in both directions.
Several of the last services will be cancelled and replacement road transport is being organised to run between Leeds and Wakefield Westgate. More information will be provided once this is confirmed.

Yesterday (Monday 13 November) Network Rail advised that a tree had fallen on the overhead lines at Outwood station. This caused considerable damage to the overhead lines, and all lines were blocked for several hours.
Futher repairs to the line are required to allow trains to operate safely. This will take place overnight tonight. A normal service is expected to operate from tomorrow morning.
