An attempted theft of signalling cables between Leeds and Knottingley means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations via Wakefield may be cancelled or diverted via Castleford.

This is expected until 10:45.

Services running between Sheffield and Leeds via Castleford are not affected by this disruption.

Customer Advice:

To assist you with your journey, you can use your ticket to travel on alternative Northern, LNER and TransPennine Express services via any reasonable route, at no extra cost.

Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.

Road replacement transport has been requested to operate between Knottingley and Wakefield Westgate as per below:

  • 06:35 Wakefield Westgate all stations to Knottingley provided by J&B Travel
  • 07:30 Knottingley all stations to Wakefield Westgate provided by Ross Travel
