The attempted theft of signalling cables between Leeds and Castleford means journeys between these stations are being disrupted.

Services may be cancelled or revised. Castleford will not be served.

We anticipate disruption will continue until 17:00.

The following routes will be affected:

  • Leeds - Sheffield via Barnsley: These services will fail to call at Castleford.
  • Leeds - Knottingley via Castleford: These services will be cancelled

Services that run via Wakefield Westgate are NOT affected.

Additional information:

Services between Leeds and Castleford are currently being disrupted due to attempted theft of signalling cables.

Network Rail are on site and believe they will have a fix in place around 16:20.
