A points failure between Irvine and Ayr means the line towards Ayr is blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised. This is expected until 20:00.

You can travel on the following alternative routes:

  • Glasgow Central - Ardrossan Harbour / Largs services for stations to Kilwinning
  • Glasgow Central - Gourock / Wemyss Bay for Paisley Gilmour Street
  • Glasgow Central to Ayr via Kilmarnock for Troon & Ayr.

Rail replacement buses are running between Kilwinning and Barassie / Ayr. These are operated by Photoflash, Kevins Coaches, Executive Travel and Westway.
