A landslip between Horsham and Dorking means the line is closed. As a result of this, trains will be cancelled.
This is expected until 05:00 on Thursday 20 February.
Customer Advice
Network Rail have informed us of a landslip at Betchworth Tunnel, just west of Holmwood Station. Trains will not be running between Horsham and Dorking until approximately the morning of Thursday 20th February.
We are in the process of organising a Rail Replacement Bus service, for Tuesday and Wednesday, that will run to a timetable. This will appear in journey planners later on today.
Please allow extra time to travel in this area.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
The rain we have seen in recent days has caused the land to slip, and makes running the trains on this line unsafe. Network Rail engineers are on site and are working hard to stabilise the ground so Southern can return to a normal service.
