Overrunning engineering works between East Croydon and Three Bridges means some lines are blocked. As a result of this, trains may be cancelled or delayed.
Disruption is expected until 07:00.
Customer Advice
Overrunning engineering works in the Gatwick Airport area this morning means only two out of the four lines are open. As a result fewer trains than normal will be able to run between London and Brighton this morning and others will be subject to delay or have revised calling patterns.
You are still able to use your normal route however please do allow extra time for your journey this morning.
Can you tell me more about the incident?
Network Rail have told us that overnight engineering works are taking longer than planned to complete this morning. This will mean fewer trains will be able to run until the lines they are working on are opened.
