What has happened?
Signalling staff have been taken ill at the signal box at Eggington which is between Derby and Uttoxeter disrupting our trains on the Derby/Crewe route.
Network Rail are now able to provide a signaller for the signal box; the estimate for them to arrive is 15:30.
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in both directions cannot run between Uttoxeter and Derby.
At present we the estimate of when the line is likely to reopen is in the next hour. As soon as the line reopens our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. This is expected to be by 16:00.
How do I get where I need to be?
We are currently looking at alternative arrangements to keep you on the move. Please remember that this can take time and be assured that our team are working tirelessly to arrange this as quickly as possible for you. We appreciate your patience whilst we do this.
We have requested a rail replacement bus at Uttoxeter and at Derby, however these are not expected to arrive until 15:45.
Customers travelling between Stoke-On-Trent and Crewe are able to use their tickets on alternative London Northwestern Railway services.
