A trespass incident in the Derby area is causing disruption to trains running between Derby and Matlock / Chesterfield As a result of this, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed.

Disruption is expected until 19:00.

What has happened?

There is a trespasser on the railway, just north of Derby Station. This is between Derby and Ambergate Junction and is disrupting our trains on the London St Pancras / Nottingham / Sheffield route and the Nottingham / Derby / Matlock routes.

Network Rail have a team arriving on site, trains will be unable to run until the trespasser is removed.

How does this affect my train?

Trains running between Derby & Chesterfield in both directions and trains running between Derby and Matlock in both directions will be unable to leave Derby,

At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next hour. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 19:00.

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed.
