Damage to overhead electric wires in the Elsenham area means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Cambridge and Stansted Airport may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected to continue until 10:00.

Greater Anglia Customer Advice:

Services between Liverpool Street and Cambridge are severely disrupted due to a tree damaging the overhead electric wires between Audley End and Stansted Mountfitchet.

As a result, all lines will be blocked for essential works to be carried out. In the meantime, a shuttle train service will be in operation between Liverpool Street and Bishops Stortford. There will also be a limited shuttle train service operating between Audley End and Cambridge North.

Greater Anglia are in the process of arranging rail replacement buses to help you complete your journey. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Please note that services on the Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport and Hertford East branches are unaffected at present.
