Can you tell me more about the incident?
Network Rail has discovered a fault with their signalling equipment at St Mary Cray. Technicians are working to repair the fault; however, until rectified, train crews are instructed to pass through at a lower speed than usual.
Train crews must also contact the signalling centre on approach to the three faulty signals, and must be verbally guided through towards the next section. This process takes at least 5 minutes, per signal, per train.
