A points failure between Worle and Weston-super-Mare is causing disruption to journeys running from Bristol Temple Meads towards Weston-super-Mare. As a result, trains may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10:00.

Additional information:

There is a points failure at Worle Junction which is affecting southbound services via Weston-super-Mare. As a result, trains may be revised to run via the Main Line to avoid the affected area. Where this occurs, trains will not call at Weston Milton or Weston-super-Mare.

Network Rail staff are on site working to resolve the issue.

Customer advice:

Replacement road transport is being requested to shuttle between Worle and Weston-super-Mare for rail connections. You will be updated once this has been confirmed.

In the meantime, you may use your rail ticket, at no extra cost, on the following First Bus routes:

  • A3: Worle (New Bristol Road), Weston Milton (The Borough Arms), Weston-super-Mare (Neva Road)
  • X1: Weston-Super-Mare, Weston Milton, Worle, Nailsea & Backwell (Crossroads), Bristol (Bus Station)
  • X5: Weston-Super-Mare (Oxford Street), Weston Milton (The Borough Arms), Worle (New Bristol Road)
  • X9: Bristol (Bus Station), Nailsea
